The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Puerto del Carmen! Beautifully appointed accommodation right on the sea front.
Beaches
Puerto Calero does not have it’s own beach the nearest ones are at Puerto Del Carmen.
The main town beach in Puerto del Carmen  is called Playa Grande and is a broad stretch of black sand running for over 3kms along the Avenida de las Playas.  There are two other beaches in Puerto del Carmen one called Playa Blanca which is over a km in length  and has clear waters which are safe for family bathing and the other is Playa de Los Pocillos which is a good beach for windsurfing from.  Beyond the beaches is the swish marina of Puerto Calero which offers boat, submarine and yacht excursions.
Eating Out
For such a small resort, there are a good number of excellent restaurants in Puerto Calero, to suit a variety of budgets and tastes.  Mainly along the quayside it is the perfect location to relax at lunch time or over an evening meal.  A wider choice of restaurants can be found at Puerto del Carmern.A speciality of Canarian cuisine is "papas arrugadas con mojo", little "wrinkly potatoes" with "mojo verde" (green garlic sauce) or "mojo rojo", also called "mojo picón" (red garlic sauce, very spicy).    Another well-loved sew is "rancho canario", consisting of garbanzos (chick-peas), noodles and potatoes, together with bacon fat, beef and chicken.
