With
the third weekend in the Summer school holidays a
washout, and the forecast not looking too bright for
August, there is a last minute scramble for Brits to
escape Grey Britain.
Some
flight companies are reducing
prices,
rather than increasing them to take into account the
hike in fuel costs, to ensure they achieve their 80%
fillage (the point at which most flights
become profitable!).
Despite
the big four Tour Operators cutting the number of
holidays available for 2008 there are still
some good
bargains around for the last week of August.
With temperatures on the Med averaging 30º
throughout August and the cost of eating out usually
less expensive than in the
UK
, it may be time to consider swapping the brolly for a
bikini!
