The
Spanish Costas, especially C.Blanca
and C.Del
Sol, were
identified by “Price Runner” as the main hotspots
for Brits to take their holidays this year.
Not only are they the most popular destination
for families but also for the “over 60’s”
according to Insurance.co.uk.
For
the first half of 2008 overseas visitors to
Spain
increased to 26.6
million and British tourists were responsible for
almost 30% of this total.
Despite
the poor exchange rate between the Euro and
Sterling
,
Spain
is still an affordable destination and ideal for
families who want a short flight to their destination.
The figures released by the Ministry for
Industry also indicate that despite the “credit
crunch” the
British people are still taking their annual holidays
abroad, and
Spain
is the top of their list of destinations.
