The latest “Which” report
states that the largest holiday companies offer the
poorest service with the likes of Cosmos, Thomas
Cook and First Choice scoring as low as 44%
satisfaction. The survey covered more than 4500
holidaymakers “experiences” with scores made up on
the quality of the, the journeys involved, the
overall holiday, companies organisation skills,
value for money and customer service. Smaller tour
operators faired much better with scores as high as
100% satisfaction.
Rochelle Turner, head of
“Which? Holiday” research said “It’s great to see
the small operators doing so well. They have the
advantage of being able to offer a more personalised
service, valued by many”.
The survey also revealed that
the average spend has risen from £900pp to more than
£1000 pp with almost a quarter paying over and above
£1600 pp.
