during September can enjoy the Ayia Napa International
Festival where culture comes to the resort in the form
of popular music, dance and folklore.
Everyone is invited to partake in the
traditional dancing and witness the impressive
Theatrical performances, puppetry, concerts and formal
dancing by the local Cypriot people.
All capped by an impressive Firework display.
In
addition there are Painting and Photography
exhibitions, agricultural produce and stalls with
traditional folk art.
This
all takes place during the weekend of 26-28th
September at
Ayia Napa Square
, with the Venetian-style monastery as a backdrop, in
one of the more charming quarters of the town.
Here you will also find folk singing and
dancing performances held every Sunday evening
throughout the tourist season.
