Whilst most of us concentrate
on our choice of destination for a holiday, Alistair
Renniee, a Post Office Travel Money spokesman,
advises we look at a broader picture and take into
account issues such as exchange rates and the cost
of living in certain countries.
Potential benefits can be made
by choosing destinations such as Portugal and Spain,
for example, as the cost of eating out (and self
catering) has fallen by as much as 30% compared to
2009. With the exchange rate buoyant between the
euro and the pound the cost of that much wanted
holiday is now well within reach for most.
